UEE31211Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control

This course is suited to those looking to gain knowledge and experience in the field of instrumentation and systems installed in the Australian mining, process, oil and gas industries.

This course has an online theory component and an in class practical component.


To be eligible to do this training students must hold a current unrestricted Australian Electrical Licence or an Electrical Trade Certificate.

Course Duration & Cost

The theory component can take from 4 –6 weeks. The duration will vary as study is self paced and completed online in your own time. The pass mark for each unit is 100%, if this is not achieved; the trainer provides the student feedback with a second attempt to complete the work. If you do not achieve a pass mark on your second attempt the unit is completed face to face with trainer support during the first few days of practical.

The practical component can take up to 4 weeks to complete. Attendance is flexible to meet student availability.

The total cost of the course can range $3,000.00 – $8,000.00 (GST Free) depending on how many units of competency are required to be completed.

Volt Edge will offer a substantial discount to students wishing to complete a dual qualification by completing UEE40411 Certificate IV in Electrical – Instrumentation & UEE31211 Certificate III in Instrumentation & Control.

Payment can be split into two instalments. The first instalment is paid prior to commencement of the theory component; the remaining amount is paid prior to commencement of the practical component.
