Course Description

Volt Edge Training is offering the latest UEE42620 – Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas to students via Live Web Training. It is a Qualification where Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas (EEHA) is a skill set of competencies, with an extra four units of competency are added called Gap Training once successful completion of all requirements you will gain the qualification.

This Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas course covers the principles of hazardous area installation, maintenance, inspections, and breakdowns of explosion-protection equipment with a high emphasis of practical inspections. Our Hazardous Area Training course has been designed with a new starter in mind but with enough technical knowledge to stimulated the most educated student. So if you plan to work in the LNG industry, Coal industry, or petrochemical industries then Volt Edge is the training provider you need when completing your Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas. Endorsement offered for Ex ‘d’, Ex ‘e’, Ex ‘i’, Ex ‘m’, Ex ‘n’, Ex ‘p’, Ex ‘t’, Ex ‘m’, Ex ‘pD’ and mixed explosion-protection techniques.

UEE42620 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas - Electrical (Cert IV HA) training is the qualification that can be achieved by completing the following:
→ EEHA 5 day course: Pre-selected units by Volt Edge (delivered live web by an accredited Trainer & Assessor)
→ Online Units: 4 units to be completed (Cert IV Gap Training)
→ Credit Transfer: Elective competency (from students trade qualification)*
 

Course Delivery

EEHA Component

Live Web

Delivered in a 5 day holistic theory and assessment block with an online self-paced component before and after the 5 day delivery.

The Volume of Learning for this program will comprise of:
→ 40 hours (Optional) of workbook reading 
→ 55 hours of supervised instruction including:
→ 30 hours of supervised theory instruction and discussions
→ 15 hours of supervised assessment activities (written and practical)
→ Up to 10 hours of capstone assessment (online) including revision if required.

 

Live Web - Live web is a online version of a face to face course.  The course is run with an accredited trainer and assessor in attendance at all times. The student can do the course anywhere in Australia with the use of a computer and camera.  

Note: We recommend two screens to be used on a computer or laptop.

Note: Live Web is delivered in all states using Brisbane Time 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

*Interested in live web, make the selection in the training calendar when you book.

Gap Component

The remaining 4 units of competency are offered online self paced and is studied through our online learner management system. A Credit transfer of 1 other unit is required to gain the qualification (supply your transcripts prior to enrolment to ensure you meet the requirements).

*Students have a maximum of 12 months to complete their assessments from release of the course material.

The entry requirement for this qualification is:

UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or a current 'Unrestricted Electricians Licence' or its equivalent issued in an Australian state or territory.

Unrestricted electrical licence or electrical mechanic licence. Note: to only have an electrical fitter licence is not sufficient.

**1 unit is required to be credit transferred to gain the required points for the electives. A copy of your transcript will be requested.
